Organ Pipe to Tucson, Tombstone, Douglas, Rodeo NM, Lordsburg, Silver City, City of Rocks State Park

Hmm where to start, to much to remember. Leaving the park there was 11 border patrol truck in one spot, I guess maybe on the hot trail of and illegal. It's not just people trying to get across the border but also drug smuggling. The weather is starting to get pretty warm today, and my body is doing pretty good so ride is quite easy today. The roads in general have not been very exiting to ride on but there was a few curves on the way to Tombstone, the trouble is in the US if there are curve they tend to lower the speed limit for the whole section of road not just corners, luckily a goldwing past me so I follow him at a more reasonable speed. The town of Tombstone has been all fixed up to look like it did originally to resemble the old west with horse drawn buggies and cowboys etc. walking around with staged gunfights at certain times of the day.

On the way to Douglas, which is almost in Mexico, I passed the old mining town of Brisbee, lot of nice old brick buildings, of which I didn't get any pictures, but here is the mine.

From Douglas to Rodeo New Mexico was even more desolate than what I have been going through up until now, but the land is real cheap but not quite sure what it could be used for. The Temp reached a high of 33.5, but not to bad, yet.

So on to Lordsburg and then Silver City in and effort to find some nicer roads. They do have nice trees in New Mexico but you will need to be above 6000 ft. to find them. So I ended up a City of rocks State park which was pretty cool. Both the parks and the rest stop I have seen in New Mexico are nice and well done, and good price for camping.
